The apartment is located in within 5-minute walk from Trastevere and Porta Portese originally called Porta Portuensis, it was one of the southern gates of the Aurelian Walls of Rome. It opened in the very first stretch of walls on the right bank of the Tiber exactly where Via Portuense began; this road has been built to connect the city with the port from here comes the name of the gate.
Particularly lively after sunset Trastevere is a beautiful area of Rome with lovely cobbled streets and cute little restaurants named "Osteria", cocktails Bars, wine bars and live music venues every were. There are also shops of all kinds from clothing to gastronomy, on Sundays there is always a flea market in Porta Portese. Below our building there is a supermarket open from 8 am until 8 pm.
